Episode 06: Laura Diaz – Hustlers and Haters

Laura Diaz is a former news anchor and reporter.  She decided to switch careers to radio because of the depressing environment that local news gravitates toward. She found herself not being able to shake it off after getting home from a long news day.  Now that she’s in radio, everything is different.  It’s light-hearted, fun and she doesn’t have to stick to a script.  Laura’s been married to the love of her life for 8 years and they share 2 children.  She’s an Orlando native.

Last year, Laura decided to pursue her passion of feminism and women’s issues by starting a non-profit called ‘Face of a Feminist’.

The organization empowers women and girls through inspirational videos, interviews and her podcast by the same name.  She also throws fundraising events and donates proceeds to women based, local charities.
